President Draupadi Murmu flew in a fighter jet from Tezpur in Assam
New Delhi, Apr 8, (Fast Mail News):-- President Draupadi Murmu flew in Sukhoi-30 at Tezpur Air Force Base. This was his first flight of a fighter aircraft. He was seen wearing an anti-gravity suit before stepping into the fighter plane. The President, who is currently on a visit to Assam, is the Supreme Commander of the three services.
In 2009, former President Pratibha Patil flew in a front line fighter aircraft.
The Sukhoi-30 MKI is a twin-seater multirole fighter jet developed by Russia's Sukhoi and manufactured under license by India's aerospace giant Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
