NEW DELHI:A 33-year-old man was shot by five men in outer Delhi's Pooth Kalan village in the early hours of Monday. After committing the crime, all the miscreants fled from the spot. The injured has been identified as Sandeep, a resident of Pooth Kalan.

Police said that the control room received information about the firing incident in Pooth Kalan village on Monday morning, after which the SHO from Sultanpuri police station along with the police force reached the spot. The police immediately admitted the injured Sandeep to the nearby Brahma Shakti Hospital.
A senior police officer said that the police team also found two empty cartridges of 7.62 mm near the main bus stand in Puth Kalan. In preliminary interrogation, the injured Sandeep said that five persons named Deepak, Shivam, Vikram, Mintu and Kala opened fire on him. Police have been investing into the matter to get information further.
