Rahul Gandhi's helicopter searched by election officials in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI:The helicopter of former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has been searched by election officials in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. Police said that the Election Commission flying squad officials searched the helicopter after it landed here.

Rahul Gandhi had reached the South Indian state to participate in the election campaign programme. According to the information, Rahul Gandhi was leaving for his parliamentary constituency Wayanad in Kerala. Here he will participate in many programmes. Gandhi is contesting from Wayanad seat for the second consecutive time. Voting will be held in Wayanad on April 26.

A day before this, on Sunday , the helicopter of Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee was raided and searched by the Income Tax Department. A case is now being registered by TMC regarding this and it has also been said to lodge a complaint with the Election Commission.
