10thConvocation of Manipal University Jaipur: Governor Kalraj Mishra conferred 2166 degrees and 58 Gold medals
The convocation ceremony commenced with the Academic Procession in which the Honourable Governor Sh. Kalraj Mishra, President of Manipal University Jaipur Prof. G. K. Prabhu, Pro-President Cmde. Dr. Jawahar Mal Jangir, Registrar Prof. Nitu Bhatnagar, Controller of Examinations Prof. Dasari Nagaraju, Deans of all faculties and Directors of different schools were a part.
The ceremony started with National Anthem and the Kulgeet of Manipal University Jaipur.The convocation ceremony witnessed remarkable moment as graduates received degrees in diverse fields, including Engineering, Architecture, Management, Science, Commerce,Humanities, Journalism etc. The event witnessed notable accomplishments and university's commitment to fostering excellence in educationduring the award of degrees to 1770 undergraduate students, 396 postgraduates and PhD students, making it a huge number of 2166 awardees. Additionally, 58 gold medallists from different departmentswere conferred with medals during the convocation. In addition to this, 9 sports stars of the university who have excelled at national and international level sporting events were awarded with special certificate of honour and cash awards of approx. Rupees 15 lakh.
The Governor Sh. Kalraj Mishra graced the occasion as the distinguished Chief Guest. He delivered an inspiring address to the graduates as they embarked on their post-academic journeys. He urged the youth to play pivotal role in life as the progress of any country depends on the contribution of youth of the country.Sh. Mishra said, the knowledge is most powerful instrument for nation building. He also emphasised on the constitutional values and urged everyone to work on fundamental duties and respect the preamble of the Indian Constitution. He appreciated the contribution of Manipal University Jaipur in the field of Education, innovation and research. He lauded the efforts of MUJ in the all-round development of the students and significant contribution towards social and national development through education.
President MUJ, Prof. G. K. Prabhu congratulated all the students who received degree during the convocation. In his address, he gave an overview of Manipal University Jaipur and emphasised about the MUJ’s enduring legacy and commitment in maintaining excellence.In an audio-visual presentation the President presented all the achievements of the university. Prof. Prabhu said, form the day of its establishment, the Manipal University Jaipur is on its progressive path. The students and teachers are contributing academic excellence, which is evident from the recent accreditations by national and international accrediting bodies like NAAC, Times Higher Education, QS rankings and NBA.
Registrar, Dr Nitu Bhatnagar proposed vote of thanks after the successful completion of the convocation ceremony. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the the Chief Guest and all invitees and media persons.
For those unable to attend in person, MUJ provided a livestream of the convocation ceremony on the university's official website, enabling global participation.
Manipal University Jaipur extended a warm invitation to the mediacommunity to join and witness this momentous occasion. The convocation stood as a testament to the hard work, resilience, and dedication of the graduating class, reflecting the university's steadfast commitment to academic excellence.
Amidst the grandeur of the event, all students proudly stood alongside their parents, creating a memorable atmosphere of pride and accomplishment.
