Gujarat Model is a 'Vote Chori Ka Model': Rahul Gandhi

(Fast Mail):--Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, during his 'Vot Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar, sharply criticized the BJP, PM Modi, and the Election Commission.

On Wednesday, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) "Gujarat Model" is not an "economic model" but a "vote theft model," which was brought to the national level in 2014.Allegations of 'vote theft' in several assembly elections.

The Leader of Opposition said, "The Gujarat Model is not an economic model; it is a 'vote Chori model.' This model was brought by the BJP to the national level in 2014."

He alleged that the BJP first stole elections in Madhya Pradesh, then in Maharashtra and Haryana. He stated, "We didn’t speak earlier because we didn’t have proof, but now we have proof."

Rahul Gandhi claimed that in Maharashtra, they found evidence because the BJP "overdid it."

'Vote theft' in 70-80 seats in 2024?

Raising questions about the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi said, "Vote theft didn’t just happen in Bengaluru Central in Karnataka. Votes were stolen in 70-80 seats across India. We have started working on it. We will show you how different elections were stolen. Just as we presented evidence from Mahadevapura to the country, we will also present evidence from other places."

'Vote Chori Happened in 2019 too'

During the 'Vote Adhikar Yatra,' while addressing a gathering in Muzaffarpur, he claimed that the BJP won over 300 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections because of "vote theft."

Rahul Gandhi claimed, "After the 2019 elections, Narendra Modi had said before the results that we would get 300 seats. All the surveys in the country were saying something else, but in the end, they got 300 seats. These seats came because 'votes were stolen.'"

He further said, "For the last 10 years, the entire country has been fooled. In the coming time, we will show with proof that Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and the Election Commission are stealing votes."

Rahul Gandhi’s question to the Election Commission

Rahul Gandhi also attacked the Election Commission and the BJP regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar. Holding a copy of the Constitution, he asked, "I ask the Election Commission, it is written here (in the Constitution) that one person will have the right to one vote. Why did you delete 65 lakh votes in Bihar? This is an attack on the Constitution."

'BJP is depriving the poor of their rights'

The former Congress president further said, "In Bihar, thousands of people told us that they had voted multiple times, but this time their names were removed. The Election Commission even marked several living people as 'dead' in the voter list. The Election Commission is not removing the votes of the rich but those of Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes, and minorities. Only the votes of the poor people of the country are being removed."

He added, "Because the BJP does not want your voice to be heard. They don’t want your children to get their rights, to protect your land, to raise your voice against paper leaks, or for your children to get employment."
