ED summons Jharkhand's IAS Rajiv Ekka again, now called on March 27
Ranchi, Mar 18, (Fast Mail News):-- Former Principal Secretary to Jharkhand Chief Minister Rajeev Arun Ekka has been summoned again by the ED for questioning on March 27. Earlier, IAS Ekka was summoned by the ED on March 15. Ekka had sent a letter to the ED, urging it to be called after March 24, citing the assembly session.
The investigating agency may try to know from Ekka what is his relation with Vishal Chowdhary. Has money also transacted between the two? On May 24 last year, the ED raided Vishal Chowdhary's Ashok Nagar residence. During this, Chaudhary had thrown his mobile phone in the garbage.
Ekka is the third IAS officer from Jharkhand to be questioned by the ED. Earlier, ED has interrogated Pooja Singhal and Sahibganj DC Ramniwas Yadav. Ekka has been the Principal Secretary to the CM. He also had additional charge of Information and Public Relations, Home, Jail and Disaster Management Department. Soon after the release of the video, he was removed from all posts and made Principal Secretary, Panchayati Raj Department.
