UP: Car collides with tree in Shravasti, six killed, eight injured
Shravasti, Apr 15, (Fast Mail News):-- Six people died in a road accident in Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning. Eight people have been injured in this accident. Police have sent the dead bodies for postmortem and referred the injured to Bahraich for treatment, out of which the condition of two people is critical. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the road accident.
An Innova car went uncontrolled and collided with a tree on Saturday morning near Sonrai village of Ikona police station area. All the occupants of the Innova were coming from Punjab to Karmohana village in Shravasti to attend the last rites of their father. Everyone was injured in the collision with the tree. As soon as the information was received, Superintendent of Police (SP) Prachi Singh and SHO reached the spot along with the team.
The SP said that the injured were sent to the hospital for treatment, where six people died. Their identification is being done. Eight injured people have been referred to Bahraich Hospital for treatment. There were 14 people aboard the Innova.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the road accident. Wishing peace to the departed soul, expressed condolences to the bereaved family members. Along with this, he has instructed the officials of the district administration to take the injured to the hospital immediately and get them proper treatment.
