Ration Card and Land Will Also Be Taken Away: Rahul Gandhi
He warned the public that if their names are removed from the voter list, their ration cards, land, and everything else will also be taken away.
Rahul Gandhi also claimed that the previous Bihar Assembly election was stolen, and the truth of this will come out one day. The Leader of Opposition reiterated that once the Congress and its allies form the government at the Center and in Bihar, action will be taken against the current Election Commission officials.
He warned, "The Election Commission officials should remember—our government will definitely take action against them."
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi began the third day of his yatra from Wazirganj in Gaya and entered Nawada. The yatra then proceeded to Sheikhpura and concluded in Nalanda for the day. The yatra will take a break on Wednesday and resume from Nalanda on Thursday. In Sheikhpura, Rahul Gandhi paid tributes at the statue of Bihar’s first Chief Minister, Shri Krishna Singh.
Addressing a gathering in Nalanda on Tuesday evening, Rahul Gandhi said, "The youth of Bihar will not allow vote theft. Voting is everyone’s right. In today’s India, the poor only have their vote left."
He claimed, "If your vote is taken away, your ration card, land, and everything else will also be gone."He stated that the entire state of Bihar is united against 'vote theft' and is raising its voice, saying, "Vote chor, gaddi chhod" .
Earlier, addressing a gathering at Bhagat Singh Chowk in Nawada, Rahul Gandhi alleged that there is a partnership between the Election Commission and the BJP, and they are colluding to steal votes.
He said, "Voting is your right, and this right is given by the Constitution. Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and the Election Commissioners are snatching this right away." He added, "I, Tejashwi Yadav, and other Mahagathbandhan leaders want to say that we will not let even a single vote be stolen in Bihar."
He alleged that elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh were also stolen. Rahul Gandhi said that now, in Bihar, votes are being stolen in a new way under the guise of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. He emphasized, "We will not let them steal."
Rahul Gandhi claimed, "First, your voter card will be taken away, then your ration card, and then your land will be handed over to Adani and Ambani. This country does not belong to Adani and Ambani; it belongs to farmers, laborers, and small traders."
He had some people stand up in the gathering whose names were allegedly removed from the voter list. He said, "There are lakhs of such people in Bihar who voted earlier, but now their names have been removed from the voter list."
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, addressing the gathering in Nawada, said that whenever the next Lok Sabha election happens, "we will make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister."
The Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly targeted the Election Commission over the SIR issue and said that vote theft will not be allowed in Bihar. He claimed that after vote theft, people’s ration cards and pensions will also be taken away.
