Three girl inmates from a shelter home gone missing
DHENKANAL: Three minor inmates have gone missing from Jagruti shelter home at Gobindpur since August 28 raising concern about their conditions. An Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO) called Ujala which run the shelter home has filed an FIR in Gobindpur police station .But police so far has not got any clue about their whereabouts.
The Officer-incharge of Gobindpur police station Pradeep Patra said, on August 28 early morning,three girl inmates woke up and asked the security guard to open the door.As soon as the door was opened, they scaled the wall and disappeared.Since then they have gone missing.
Police said we have made lot of searches but couldn’t trace the missing children.They are about 16 to 17 year-olds. They were lodged in shelter home about a year back.Police said a case of kidnapping has been registered in Gobindpur police station and enquiries are being made. It said the missing girls are held from Dhenkanal district.
Sources in shelter home said, they are hopeful that the missing girls will be brought back very soon.
