Arun Gandhi Grandson of Mahatma Gandhi passes away at 89

Mumbai, May 2, (Fast Mail News):-- Arun Gandhi (89 years), the grandson of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, passed away on Tuesday morning at the Avani Institute located in Hanwarwadi area of Kolhapur. Arun Gandhi's son Tushar Gandhi told that his father's last rites will be performed today itself at the cremation ground of Hanwarwadi.

Arun Gandhi was the son of Manilal Gandhi, the son of Mahatma Gandhi. Arun Gandhi was born on April 14, 1934 in Durban, South Africa. Arun Gandhi's father Manilal Gandhi was the editor of Indian Opinion newspaper and his mother was the publisher of Indian Opinion. Arun Gandhi worked on social and political issues from the beginning. Arun Gandhi was also a writer. His book The Gift of Engle-and Other Lessons from My Grandfather became very popular. Arun Gandhi had settled in America with his family, but in the last stage of his life he came to Avani Sansthan located in Kolhapur.
