BJP Uses Constitution to Gain Power, Forgets to Respect It Once in Power: Akhilesh Yadav

(Fast Mail):-- Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of using the Constitution to gain power but forgetting to respect it once in power.

He said, “The BJP uses the Constitution to come to power. It talks about the Constitution and claims to abide by it until it secures power. But once in power, it fails to respect the Constitution.”

Addressing a press conference in Lucknow, the SP leader stated that BJP members take an oath to uphold the Constitution given by Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar but show no loyalty to it in their actions. He highlighted contradictions in the BJP’s statements.

The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister remarked, “Those who are against socialism are also against secular people. This is a fundamental battle in society. It is a fight between ‘I’ and ‘we.’ For the upliftment of society, an individual must merge their individuality, which self-cantered people never do.”

Indirectly targeting the BJP, he said such selfish people are against every ideology and word associated with society and socialism.

Akhilesh Yadav added, “These negative people weaken society to maintain their power because their dominance is only visible when society remains weak. That’s why they oppose everything that strengthens society.”

Without naming anyone, he said, “Such people are fundamentally communal. This is why they are staunchly opposed to secularism, which teaches us to bring people closer, establish harmony, and live and let live.”

Yadav further stated that those with a monopolistic mindset oppose socialism and secular ideologies because being socialist and secular requires a big heart, while heartless people always oppose it and will continue to do so. He said, “The PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, and Alpasankhyak) communities are bound by shared pain. Through PDA, we are all connected by some form of suffering and tied to one another.”
