Chandrababu Naidu Arrested in Skill Development Case
Today around 6 am, the CID department reached Nandalaya with heavy police force and handed over the arrest warrant issued by the court against Chandrababu Naidu. According to reports,he was not given time to go to court and was arrested. The CID reportedly has arrested him in a Skill developmnt case.It is being said that he had got a warrant on charges of corruption in the skill development case. The sections imposed against him were non-bailable.
After the arrest,Chandrababu Naidu was shifted to Nandyala Hospital for medical examination, after which he will be produced in the court. It is being said that after the arrest, Naidu promised to cooperate with the police.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Saturday, early today, had issued an arrest warrant to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in a corruption case. The First Information Report (FIR) in the case was filed in 2021.
Recently, Chandrababu Naidu had claimed that he would be arrested soon. Regarding the matter, the police said that all the details and materials have been made available to the court. Naidu agreed to cooperate with the police and would be taken in his convoy while his security would be allowed to accompany him.
On Friday Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Meruga Nagarjuna had demanded the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu on charges of looting public money. Addressing a media conference at Tadepalli, he said Chandrababu had spent Rs 10 crore to renovate the Lake View Guest House in Hyderabad before fleeing from there in a cash-for-vote case.
The Social Welfare Minister alleged that Chandrababu Naidu spent another Rs 10 crore on the Chief Minister's Office. Along with this, Rs 100 crore has been spent for chartered flights and Rs 80 crore has also been spent on Dharma Porata Deeksha.
He said that our Chief Minister did not waste public money like him (Chandrababu Naidu) but distributed Rs 2.31 lakh crore through Direct Benefit Transfer to people's accounts.
