Hitting out at the opposition, PM Modi said, “The Congress and the Left want to stop all such schemes that make life easier for the people of Tripura. That's why the people of Tripura have to be careful from the double-edged sword of the Left and the Congress”. PM Modi further talked about how the opposition left Tribals out of development and said, “During the Congress and Left governments, bamboo cutting and its trade was banned. In Radhakishorepur, PM Modi said the BJP had brought the state back on the track of rapid development in just five years, and that the state had decided that the ‘double-engine of development’ would not stop.

Listing the initiatives taken by his government for the development of the state, PM Modi said, “In the last 5 years, the farmers of Tripura have received Rs 500 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Here, more than Rs 80 crore has been sent to the bank accounts of 40,000 farmers of Gomti district. New possibilities are continuously being created for the rubber farmers of Tripura.” He also talked about that how the farmers of Tripura who were producing Millets would be benefitted from the ongoing initiatives of the centre.
