Three truck load of cattle seized by Dhenkanal police

ANGUL :Launching a drive against cattle smuggling on NH-55,Dhenkanal Sadar Police have seized more than 50 cattle while being illegally transported by the illegal traders.Three vehicles have been seized in this case.

The IIC of Sadar police Deepak Lenka said in the early morning today he got information that three vehicles carrying cattle illegally were passing on NH-55.Police immediately rushed to the spot and intercepted three vehicles carrying cattle in a very inhuman manner.

It immediately released the cattle and nabbed two persons in this connection.They were later arrested by police.

The arrested are M Khan and S Ahmed of the local area.The IIC also informed that since January eight vehicles which carried illegal cattle by NH-55 have been seized.Eight cases have been registered in this connection.he said the drive against the illegal cattle smugglers on NH-55 will continue.
