India Destroys Pakistan’s Air Defense System in Lahore Using Israeli Drones

15 Pakistani Cities, from Lahore to Rawalpindi, Targeted with Israeli Drones

Fast Mail News
NEW DELHI:
In response to Pakistan’s provocative actions, alongside shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) targeting Indian border areas,  India targeted 15 Pakistani cities, from Lahore to Rawalpindi, with Israeli drones on Thursday morning, destroying air defense radars and systems, including Lahore’s air defense system.

Despite India’s Operation Sindoor destroying nine terrorist camps, Pakistan continues its provocative actions. Alongside shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) targeting Indian border areas, the Pakistani military attempted to attack Indian bases on Wednesday night, which vigilant Indian forces thwarted.

India launched Operation Sindoor late Tuesday night, keeping in mind the sentiments of women widowed in the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 tourists. Without crossing the border, India used Hammer and SCALP missiles to strike nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), demolishing bases of Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. Following this, Pakistan intensified heavy shelling along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army responded precisely to the Pakistani firing. Despite this, Pakistan has not relented.

Pakistani shelling in the Poonch sector claimed the lives of 16 innocent Indian civilians in border villages, including three women and five children. India was compelled to respond to halt Pakistan’s mortar and artillery fire. Yet, Pakistan escalated unprovoked shelling along the LoC in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri sectors, using mortars and heavy-caliber artillery. India matched Pakistan’s intensity in its response.

During a press briefing on Operation Sindoor on May 7, India explicitly stated that Pakistani military installations were not targeted. It was reiterated that any attack on Indian military bases would be met with an appropriate response. Despite this, on the night of May 7-8, Pakistan attempted to strike multiple Indian military targets in northern and western India, including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bathinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj, using drones and missiles.

India’s Ministry of Defense confirmed Pakistan’s actions and stated that these attacks were neutralized using the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defense Systems. Debris from these attacks is being recovered from multiple locations, proving Pakistan’s aggression. In retaliation, India targeted 15 Pakistani cities from Lahore to Rawalpindi with Israeli drones on Thursday morning.

The statement noted that India destroyed air defense radars and systems at multiple locations, neutralizing Lahore’s air defense system. Pakistan’s HQ-9 missile launchers, stationed at Walton Base in Lahore, suffered significant damage. The statement reaffirmed the Indian Armed Forces’ commitment to avoiding escalation, provided the Pakistani military respects this stance.
