Pradhan regrets misutilization of DMF fund in Angul

Angul:The Union Education minister has regretted the misutilisation of huge funds accruing from district mineral fund. "It is very regrettable that the DMF fund which is meant for the poor is being spent for lighting".

He said while addressing a gathering at Nalco area after inaugurating a Kalyan mandap built by Nalco Truck Association today. The association has built the Kalyan Mandap at the cost of rupees. 5 crore. After winding up H20 meeting at Bhubaneswar Pradhan came straight to Village Kulad to inaugurate Kalyan mandap.

Pradhan the gathering that Modi govt is becoming popular day by day by adhering transparency in all the sectors including auctioning of the country's natural wealth.

He said Odisha was earlier getting rupees 5,000 crore in form of mining revenue. But nowthe figure went upto 50,000crore out of which Angul takes rupees 1000crore per year.

Commenting on the wrong statue of Nabakrushna Chaudhury installed by local administration,he urged the state government to renovate Bajirout chhatranbas and put up correct statue of great sons of Odisha.

On the issue of Nalco Truck Association wrangled on aluminium transportation issue he preferred a negotiated settlement on this issue.
