Singer Alka Yagnik sang her first song at the age of 14
Mumbai, Mar 20, (Fast Mail News):-- Popular singer of the nineties Alka Yagnik is celebrating her birthday today i.e. on 20th March. Alka was born in a middle-class family in Kolkata. He started learning classical music from his mother Shubha Yagnik. Alka was also fond of singing since childhood. He started working at the age of just six. Alka started singing in Akashvani Kolkata at the age of six.
At the age of ten, Alka Yagnik came to Mumbai with her mother and met film producer Raj Kapoor. Raj Kapoor loved Alka's voice. He introduced him to Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Alka sang the song of the film 'Payal Ki Jhankar' at the age of 14. After this he sang the song 'Mere Angne Me Tumhaara Kya Kaam Hai' in the 1981 film 'Laawaris'. However, he had to struggle a lot.
Alka got recognition as a playback singer with the song 'Ek Do Teen' in the 1988 film 'Tezaab'. After singing 'Ek Do Teen', Alka has so far sung more than 20 thousand songs in about 700 films. Alka has given many superhit songs in Bollywood. These included 'Agar Tum Saath Ho', 'Tip Tip Barsa Pani', 'Maiyya Yashoda', 'Chura Ke Dil Mera', 'Pardesi Pardesi', 'Tujhe Yaad Na Meri Aayee', 'Dil Laga Liya', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. ' Are included. He sang many other songs including 'Chand Chupa Badal Mein', 'Aye Mere Humsafar'. He has been awarded seven times Filmfare and two National Awards.
