'Vote chor, gaddi chhod': Cong stages protest across India against alleged discrepancies in voter list

(Fast Mail):--  The Congress party organized 'Save Democracy Torchlight Processions' across the country on Thursday evening as part of the 'Save Democracy, Save Constitution' campaign led by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, to protest against alleged vote theft and manipulation of voter lists.

A large number of Congress workers marched through major city intersections, raising slogans like "Vote Chor,Gaddi Chhod" .

The workers also protested with slogans such as "Stop Suppressing the Votes of the Weak" and "End the Dirty Game of BJP and Election Commission."

The Hyderabad District Congress Committee held a torchlight procession to protest against vote theft allegedly facilitated by the BJP in collusion with the Election Commission. Congress stated that this is not only a violation of people's voting rights but also a threat to democracy.

The party emphasized its united resolve to protect the mandate and maintain the integrity of the electoral process.

In Gujarat, under the leadership of State President Amit Chavda, Congress workers organized a torchlight procession to amplify the voice of the people. Congress claimed that the slogan "Vote Thief, Vacate the Throne" is resonating across the country, accusing the BJP and Election Commission of conspiring to undermine democracy through vote theft.In Dehradun, Uttarakhand Congress President Karan Mahra led a torchlight procession, with workers raising their voices against vote theft.

Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat and other party leaders were present. Congress described vote theft as a deep conspiracy against the people and a direct attack on democracy, vowing to continue the fight to protect it.

 In Chhattisgarh, under the leadership of State President Deepak Baij, Congress workers held a torchlight procession to protest against vote theft.

The party accused the BJP and Election Commission of stealing people's votes and undermining their democratic rights, pledging to thwart this conspiracy.

Similarly, the Goa Pradesh Congress took to the streets with a powerful torchlight procession to protest against vote theft allegedly orchestrated by the BJP in collusion with the Election Commission.

The campaign was led by State President Amit Patkar and AICC Secretary in-charge of Goa, Dr. Anjali Hemant Nimbalkar, who united Goa in the fight to protect democracy.In West Bengal, under the leadership of State President Subhankar Sarkar, the Congress organized a torchlight procession to protest against vote theft by the BJP government in collusion with the Election Commission.

AICC General Secretary and state in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir, along with AICC Secretary Amba Prasad, joined party workers and supporters in the rally.In Ranchi, Jharkhand Congress, led by State President Keshav Mahto, held a torchlight procession.

 Leaders including Legislative Party Leader Pradeep Yadav and Deputy Leader Rajesh Kachhap were present. The party reiterated that vote theft is an attack on democracy and vowed to continue the fight against it.

Similarly, Congress workers in large numbers organized torchlight processions in the capitals and various districts of states including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Tripura, Sikkim, Chandigarh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, and Odisha.
